Artist Statement 

My work explores the invisible connections that exist between humans, nature, and the living systems that surround us.

Using fruits, vegetables, plants, and other organic materials, I create handmade papers and biomaterials that become sculptural forms inspired by cells, root systems, mycelium, veins, and patterns found throughout nature. Through this process, the materials themselves become part of the story, carrying traces of their former lives while transforming into something entirely new.

I am fascinated by the similarities shared among all living things and by the ways nature repeats itself across different scales; from microscopic organisms to forests, rivers, and galaxies. Although we often think of ourselves as separate from nature, we remain deeply connected to the same systems that sustain all life.

The materials I work with undergo extensive transformation before becoming sculpture. Fruits, vegetables, and plant matter are processed into handmade papers and stabilized using natural and bio-derived coatings, including shellac and experimental bioplastics. These processes preserve the memory of the original material while allowing it to exist in a new form-one that is both delicate and durable.

Through sculpture and immersive installation, I create spaces that invite people to slow down, look closer, and reconnect with the living world around them. I hope my work evokes a sense of wonder, comfort, care, and belonging while reminding us that transformation is not an ending, but a continuation of our participation within something much larger than ourselves.
